NEW CANAAN, Conn. Chamber music, a white night gala and jazz music at a famous inn are some of the events planned for this weekend in New Canaan.
Friday - Connecticut Little Symphony concert at Congregational Church of New Canaan, 8 p.m. The chamber music group, will give a concert at the Congregational Church of New Canaan, 23 Park St. The symphony is made up of professional players from Fairfield County and the New York City area. Donations will go to the Mary Bradley Clarke Fund for Special Musicians. No tickets are required. Saturday - White Night Gala at the Outback Teen Center, 7 to 11 p.m. The center will hold its White Night Gala at the center, located off Main Street behind New Canaan Town Hall. This annual winter gala is hosted by the Outback board of directors and the White Night Gala committe,e and is based on the festive White Nights cultural celebration held annually in St. Petersburg, Russia. The gala will feature artistry, music, international food and spirits, as well as live and silent auctions. Auction items offered include sports and family travel packages.
Sunday - Jazz music by Jody Sandhaus and Peter Malinverni at the Roger Sherman Inn, 6 to 9 p.m. The evenings include many well-known and lesser-known songs from the great American songbook. Reservations for the music room are suggested. For more information, call 203-966-4541.
