Sabathia said he was proud he made the decision to enter rehab after trying to deal with his drinking on his own, the story said. He arrived Oct. 5 at Silver Hill, following several days of drinking, and stayed through October, the New York Post said.

As he heads into post-season training, Sabathia said he continues to get support from Silver Hill, as well as from family, friends and fans, according to the New York Post.
