Man, 44, Charged With Assault Near New Canaan Train Tracks

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – An Ansonia man has been accused of assaulting another person before pushing them out of a car near the Talmadge Hill train tracks, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

New Canaan Police have accused Jose Acevedo, 44, of assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a July 23 incident near the Talmadge Hill train tracks.

Jose Acevedo was arrested Sunday, July 24, in connection with the incident one day earlier, according the New Canaan Advertiser.

The 44-year-old was arrested by Ansonia police and turned over to authorities in New Canaan to faces charges of third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, according to the New Canaan Advertiser, which reported that Acevedo was ordered held on $1,500 bond.
