New Canaan Officer Arrests Panhandler Wanted By State Police

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — After New Canaan police responded to a report of someone panhandling near a gas station, they ended up arresting the man on a warrant from the Connecticut State police.

On Wednesday, Sept 27, officers found Forest Mark Paulovic. 50, of Norwalk, near Main and Church streets, police said. 

After a computer check of Paulovic's record, officers learned there was a warrant for his arrest issued by Connecticut State Police at Troop G in Bridgeport, police said.

Officers took the man into custody and transported him to headquarters. Paulovic was charged on the warrant with failure to obey a weather emergency order and failure to respond to an infraction. 

Paulovic was held on a $92 bond for a court date on Sept. 29.
