NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan Police are searching for a woman who tried to withdraw nearly $2,000 from another person's bank account on Friday, Oct. 31, according to the New Canaan News.

The suspect approached a teller at the Wells Fargo bank on Main Street and attempted to use a withdrawal slip to take $1,980 from the victim's account, the New Canaan News reported. 

The teller asked the suspect for information that was missing on the slip, but the woman could not answer. The suspect then fled in a black sedan, the New Canaan News said. 

Police are looking into surveillance footage to identify the suspect, according the report.
