New Canaan Teen Goes To Court After Giving Friend Pot-Infused Gummy Bear

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan High School student was issued a juvenile summons after giving a gummy bear laced with THC, the active chemical in marijuana, to another student last month, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The teen was charged with reckless endangerment after the 16-year-old girl who ate the drug-infused candy had difficulty breathing as a result of the THC, the Advocate reported. The student, who knew the gummy bear was laced with drugs, was taken to the hospital, the Advocate said.
