NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A 51-year-old New Canaan woman has been charged with reckless driving in a four-car crash last fall that left a Stamford teen with severe injuries, according to the Stamford Advocate .

Carol Sung turned herself in last Thursday on a warrant and was released on $500 bond, The Advocate said. She will appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on March 31, the story said.

Sung was driving more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone on Silvermine Road at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30 when she rear-ended a BMW from Hoyt's Livery, which then struck an oncoming Subaru driven by an 18-year-old and a car driven by a Wilton woman, the Advocate said.

The teen was in critical condition for days after the crash and remained in Yale-New Haven Hospital until Nov. 19, police told the Advocate. The other two drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
