NEW CANAAN, Conn. A Stamford teenager is facing three charges in connection with a June 2 assault on a New Canaan boy.
Police charged the 16-year-old Stamford boy with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an emergency call. Police said he was charged after turning himself in last week.
Police said the Stamford boy was among a group of youths who attacked a 16-year-old New Canaan boy about 10:47 p.m. June 2 on Maple Street. Police said the New Canaan boy was punched and kicked in the face.
The Stamford teen, whose name was not released because of his age, was released to appear July 31 in Stamford Juvenile Court.

Tools Stolen: Police are looking into who stole about $1,500 in power tools from a Deep Valley Road construction site. Police said a contractor working on a building left eight tools at the site over the weekend and returned to see the tools gone on Monday, July 16. Among the tools missing were a framing gun, drills, a nail gun and an air compressor.
