Retired Men's Association Of Greenwich To Hear Lecture On India

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Ajit Hutheesing will lecture on the past, present and future of India at the Retired Men's Association of Greenwich on Sept. 23.

Hutheesing was born in Mumbai and his mother was the sister of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, and the aunt of Indira Gandhi, India's third prime minister. He is the uncle of India's fourth prime minister, Rajiv Gandhi. 

Hutheesing began his career as an investment banker in 1960 with Loeb Rhoades and Company as one of the first Indians in Wall Street. He was also the youngest director at the International Finance Corporation and chairman at the Sherwood Group. He was the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of International Capital Partners, Inc.

His insider viewpoint will be shared at 11 a.m. at the FIrst Presbyterian Church in Greenwich. The meeting is free and open to the public. Guests are advised to arrive at 10:40 a.m. for coffee and cake.
