“She was OK, but quite shaken up,” Police Chief Ralph Verdi told CLIFFVIEW PILOT after the woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
Her rescuer got back into his pickup and left, Verdi said.
The Little Ferry Fire Department and EMS responded with police and a mutual aid engine from Moonachie.
The Jeep was headed south on Franklin Street when it veered and rolled across the lawn, stopping right at the house, the chief said.
The house was singed and a fence burned a bit, he said.
“Figure on the wet pavement and the speed being contributing factors,” Verdi said.
