NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan Board of Finance voted Tuesday to approve an expansion and renovation of the Saxe Middle School campus, according to NCadvertiser.com .
The unanimous vote provides the project with $18.6 million to renovate the 58-year-old auditorium and provide a net gain of 12 classrooms, according to the report.
The plan now goes to the New Canaan Town Council on Nov. 19, the Advertiser said. The project would go to bid in January with construction to start in June, according to the report.
