“We were looking for an experienced leader with a passion for education to bring energy and vision to our lower school, and we have certainly found that in Mrs. Mallin,” said Head of School Robert P. Macrae.

Mallin currently serves as the associate head of school and head of lower school at The Stanwich School in Greenwich. She has been with the Stanwich School since 2002, serving as a grade four teacher from 2002-06, head of intermediate house since 2006, head of lower school since 2012 and in her current role since 2014.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in teaching elementary education from Manhattanville College and a B.S. in accounting from Boston College.

“The positive feedback about Mrs. Mallin from parents, students and teachers alike was overwhelming,” said Macrae. “Some of the adjectives used to describe Mrs. Mallin were: poised, well-spoken, sincere, honest, genuine, transparent, balanced, well-spoken, approachable, polished, confident, mission-driven, warm, expert, outgoing, joyful, savvy, smart, intuitive, thoughtful, capable, real, experienced, collaborative, articulate, engaging and ambitious.”

Mallin will join the country school community at the start of the 2016-17 school year.
