Olympic Gold Medalist To Make A Splash With New Canaan Y Swim Team

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Swimmer Garrett Weber-Gale, a gold medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, will host a swimming clinic for New Canaan Caimens members on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the New Canaan YMCA.

The day with Weber-Gale is open to parents and swimmers. It will include:

  • A 20-minute cooking demo by Weber-Gale.
  • Swim clinic by Weber-Galein the pool with the kids and a question-and-answer session, plus pictures, autographs and medal viewing.
  • Presentation by an Olympic parent on raising an Olympian plus question-and-answer session.
  • Athletic Foodie swag for kids and adults in performance bag tags and Team USA prizes. Learn more at www.athleticfoodie.com.

Cost for the event is $50 per family. There are only 100 spaces available for the event. Registration is available at the New Canaan Y front desk.
