More Heat On Tap This Week In New Canaan

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The forecast for the rest of the week in Fairfield County calls for less storms and more heat, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will top out at 80 degrees with a slight 20 percent chance of afternoon storms. That will be followed by a night of fog and a low of 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

On Thursday it will be partly sunny with a high of 87 degrees. Thursday night there is a chance of thunderstorms with a low of 73 degrees and 30 percent chance of precipitation. Friday will bring another increase in temperature to 88 degrees with mostly sunny conditions, followed by a cool down to a clear 65 degree night, according to the National Weather Service.
