Monday, Aug. 5

New Canaan Historical Society Summer Camp (Session 3): 9 a.m. Experience life during colonial times and explore the Historical Society museums, including a Colonial home, herb garden, and one-room schoolhouse. This week’s session is on “Inventions from Colonial Times.” The cost is $200 per week for members and $225 per week for non-members. New Canaan Historical Society, 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

New Canaan Summer Cross Country Series: 7 p.m. The event is a handicap race with series of short races through the fields and trails of New Canaan. Cost is $3 for adults, $2 for students, kids and seniors.. Waveny Park, New Canaan. Visit the club's website for more information.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

New Works by Artist E.V. Day at The Glass House: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. An exhibition features new work of Artist E.V. Day’s will be on view in Da Monsta gallery. All tours of the Glass House will visit the exhibition so visitors can enjoy all aspects of this historic modernist icon on the 49-acre curated country landscape. Offering one-hour guided tours to 2 ½-hour specialized tours, the site focuses on art, architecture and landscape. Cost is $30 to $250. The Glass House, 199 Elm St., New Canaan.
