Proceeds will help build a playground with accessible features at the New Canaan YMCA for children with all abilities to enjoy, according to a press release.
The race will begin and end at New Balance, 128 Main St., with the course running through downtown New Canaan. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a pre-race show, according to a press release.
A quarter-mile Kids Fun Run will take place at 6:15 p.m. followed by the 5K course open to runners and walkers at 6:30 p.m. Awards and festivities will take place after the race.
