NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Would you change your name for nearly $10 million? New Canaan has that opportunity: SugarDaddie.com has made an offer to rename the town to SugarDaddie.com, USA.

The online dating website made an offer of $9.85 million to First Selectman Robert Mallozzi III and other city officials in writing March 29, a statement from SugarDaddie.com said. The company is awaiting a response, the release said.

In exchange for the money offered the following would also take place, SugarDaddie.com said:

▪ A 10-year commitment to officially change the name of New Canaan, Conn., to SugarDaddie.com, U.S.A.

▪ All official government correspondence, institutions and street signs must be changed to reflect the new name of SugarDaddie.com, U.S.A. This includes renaming Mead Park to SugarDaddie.com Park.

▪ The New Canaan Town Hall, currently under renovation, is to be renamed SugarDaddie Town Hall.

▪ The CEO of SugarDaddie.com must receive a key to the city in a formal ceremony presented by local government officials. It must be open to the media and the public.

▪ All city marketing resources must be made to reflect the city’s official new name and must be fully implemented within six months.

▪ There must be a Hugh Hefner statue, or somebody else that best represents the Sugar Daddy lifestyle, erected near SugarDaddie City Hall for at least 12 years.

“We thought it would be a great way to get the word out about our 10-year anniversary, and to be a permanent part of the rich history of New Canaan, CT,” Steven Pasternack, CEO of SugarDaddie.com, said in the statement.

Sugar Land, Texas previously turned down an offer from SugarDaddie.com for $4.65 million because the two sides were too far apart in the offer, the release said.

“If we can’t get this done, we’ll be disappointed. This is our final attempt to rename a town after ourselves. We are hell bent on creating the first dating site-sponsored city in America,” Pasternack said of the company’s final offer.
