Commuter Advocacy Group Invites New Canaan Train Riders To Do Survey

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Is train service getting better or worse? Do you feel safe riding on Metro-North? The Commuter Action Group has launched a survey in Fairfield County to get the opinions of area train commuters.

It has been nearly a year since the derailment/collision of two Metro-North trains near Bridgeport and two months since Joseph Giulietti arrived as the new president at Metro-North. 

To gauge the views of train riders, the Commuter Action Group has launched an online survey asking:

  • What letter grade would you give Metro-North?
  • Is service getting better or worse?
  • What are the problems you face as a commuter?
  • Have you ever filed a complaint about the trains? Was it answered?
  • Do you feel safe riding Metro-North?

To complete the online survey, visit the website at www.surveymonkey.com/s/T7KLM2Z.

The Commuter Action Group will collect responses for about a month, and the results will be shared with Metro-North, the Connecticut Department of Transporation and the public. Each person can take the survey once.
