Developer Withdraws Plans For Hotel In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A developer has scrapped plans to build a 48-suite hotel in Ridgefield, according to a report on blog.ctnews.com

Steven Zemo withdrew his application last week, citing a conflict with the town's land use commission, the story said. The extended stay hotel was planed for a 5-acre site on Old Quarry Road.

In a letter to Betty Brosius, Ridgefield's Director of Planning, Zemo expressed frustration at the lack of enthusiasm for the project from the Planning and Zoning Commission, the report said.
