New Canaan's Updated Memorial Day Forecast Brings Good News

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The showers and thunderstorms forecast for Memorial Day should hold off until Monday night, so Fairfield County residents won't have to change their outdoor plans for the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 72 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 67. Sunday will feature more sun and higher temperatures, around 76, the National Weather Service says. 

Monday will be mostly cloudy with highs of about 75. It will cool down to about 57 degrees by evening, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
