Fallen Wires Close Ann Street In Norwalk, Move Danbury Train Riders To Bus

NORWALK, Conn. -- Ann Street in Norwalk was closed Thursday evening after live wires fell on the road and on the neighboring Metro-North train tracks, Metro-North said. 

The street was closed to vehicles and pedestrians, Metro-North said. 

MTA and Norwalk police were responding.

As a result, substitute bus service was being provided on the Danbury Branch for the 7:24 p.m. train departing South Norwalk making all stops to Danbury.

Metro-North reported wire damage in the vicinity of Merritt 7.  Riders should listen for announcements at the stations.
