  • Jonathan Cleworth, 60, of 81 Locust Ave., Apt. 311, was arrested on a charge of second-degree breach of peace after an elderly New Canaan man called police because he "was tired of" his neighbor's naked sunbathing, police said.
  • New Canaan Country School named a basketball court after Kyle A. Markes, a Grade 6 student at the school who died in December from cancer.

  • The Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan was officially listed for sale by Halstead Property with an asking price of $6 million.
  • Three people escaped with their lives after a post-midnight fire raced through their North Stamford home at 25 Bittersweet Lane, totally destroying it. The New Canaan Fire Department responded and helped to battle the blaze.  
  • Pop singer Ashlee Simpson and actor Evan Ross got married, reciting their vows in a star-studded ceremony at the Greenwich home of the groom's mother, Diana Ross.
