NEW CANAAN, Conn. - New Canaan town offices will be closed on Friday because of the snowstorm forecast.

Town departments at the New Canaan Police Department, Irwin Park, Elm Street and Vine Cottage will be closed all day, according to town officials.

The status of New Canaan Public Schools will be decided on Friday morning by Schools Superintendent Mary Kolek.

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A bicyclist was injured Tuesday afternoon after an accident on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, police said.

The cyclist sustained a hand injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said.
