RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A service to celebrate the life of Benjamin Jacob Seitz of Ridgefield, the 15-month-old who died Monday in a hot car, will be held Sunday, July 13, at 3 p.m. in the Jesse Lee Memorial Church, according to the Jowdy Kane Funeral Home.

Benjamin was the son of Kyle Seitz and Lindsey Rogers-Seitz. He was born in Norwalk on March 28, 2013.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters; his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Linda Rogers; and his paternal grandparents, William and Kathy Seitz.

The family will be celebrating Benjamin’s life at a service on Sunday, July 13, at 3 p.m. in the Jesse Lee Memorial Church, 207 Main St., Ridgefield. The Rev. William B. Pfohl, the senior pastor, will officiate.

Child care will be provided at the service for families who do not have alternative options.

Attendees are asked to wear summer colors (no black) to celebrate Benjamin’s life. Balls were Benjamin’s favorite toys. The family asks that attendees bring a ball with them to the service. The balls will be dropped off upon entry and donated to the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Benjamin Seitz Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
