Update On New Canaan Road Closures

New Canaanites have lots of dodging and driving in circles to handle Friday with more than 35 roads closed and some others either partially blocked or with some type of obstruction to avoid.

But, that's good news. Earlier there were more than 124 road closures or obstructions.

The city is working day and night to remove the trees, and power company officials are working to remove wires and get power back up and running.

As of earlier Friday, 1341 homes or 16 percent of the town was without power. If you lose power, report it to Eversource at (800) 286-2000. To report a non-emergency call the EOC at (203) 594-4100 and reserve 911 for true life-threatening emergencies.
