NEW CANAAN, CONN. -- Though he had to miss the New York Yankees wild card game loss to the Houston Astros, Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia said he's glad he got the help he needed for his alcoholism at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, the New York Post reported.
Sabathia said he was proud he made the decision to enter rehab after trying to deal with his drinking on his own, the story said. He arrived Oct. 5 at Silver Hill, following several days of drinking, and stayed through October, the New York Post said.
As he heads into post-season training, Sabathia said he continues to get support from Silver Hill, as well as from family, friends and fans, according to the New York Post.
