17-Year-Old Girl Charged With Hosting Drinking Party In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan police charged a 17-year-old girl with possession of alcohol by a minor after she hosted a party with booze at her parents' house, according to the New Canaan News.

Officers arrived at the home on Gower Road because of a noise complaint, the New Canaan News said. Police discovered several underage drinkers as well as quantities of beer and malt liquor in the home, the New Canaan News reported.

The girl told officers that her parents were out of state and that several people "crashed" her party, the New Canaan News said.

The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 30.
