NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Two men were arrested at the New Canaan Train station on Saturday after officers responded to reports of drunken behavior, officials said.
Eugene Jones, 27, and Tasheem Stephens, 34, both of New York City, were detained after reports of two black males harassing passengers on the train and later acting intoxicated on the New Canaan trainstation platform, police said.
Jones was arrested for having an active warrant in New York State for violation of parole while Stephens stood in violation of Connecticut probation, police said.
Jones was taken in as a fugitive and held without bond. Stephens was held on $25,000 bond for his probation violation charges, police said.
