NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan Town Councilwoman Kathleen Corbet was struck by a truck in town Friday, Dec. 6, suffering head injuries, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. 

Corbet spent the weekend in intensive care, with a fracture to the back of her head, internal bleeding and memory loss, the New Canaan Advertiser said. 

Doctors expect Corbet to recover from her injuries, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
