FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Eligible Connecticut voters must register to vote for the Nov. 3 municipal elections by Oct. 27.

Eligible voters can register in two ways:

1. By mail, must be postmarked by Oct. 27. Click here for application.

2. In person at local registrar of voters office by 8 p.m. Oct. 27.

Online registration has already closed.

Absentee ballots also are available from your town clerks' office for registered voters who are not able to vote at polling places on Election Day, if they will be out of state or unable to vote due to illness, physical disability or other reasons listed by state law.

“Municipal elections this November 3rd represent a real chance for the voters to make their voices heard on the crucial budget and educational issues facing many towns in Connecticut. Choosing municipal leaders is one of the most important civic responsibilities, so I urge anyone who wants a say in the future direction of their community to register to vote," said Secretary of the State Denise Merrill.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 3, for municipal elections in the vast majority of Connecticut cities and towns.
