Enter Acapella Contest: Winner To Open For Rockappla Concert In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Playhouse is looking for a local acapella group to open for a performance of "A Rockapella Holiday" on Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.

If you think your group has what it takes to share the stage with this unique acappla group, you can enter the contest. Acappella groups can submit a video in any of these file formats: zip, wma, mpg, avi, mov, wmv, MP4 and mpeg. Visit ridgefieldplayhouse on Facebook to upload a video that is under 10megs. Not a facebook user? Then email the video. The deadline is Monday, Nov. 25. Visit the playhouse website for more details.

Rockapella sounds more like a full band than an unaccompanied vocal performance. They are a blend of five voices, including a vocal percussionist, regarded as being at the forefront of contemporary pop music with their unique style of soul, rock and R&B. They perform everything from vintage Mills Brothers to swinging songs of the season.

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased here or by calling the box office at 203-438-5795. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge, Ridgefield.
