One Injured, Another Hospitalized In Ramapo House Fire

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A morning house fire at 4 Stark Court in Ramapo sent police, fire and emergency medical personnel rushing to the scene.

Upon arrival just before 9 a.m., responding police units found the home engulfed in flames, but the occupants of the home safe and out of the residence. One resident, a boy, suffered a minor injury and another resident. A woman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, for evaluation police said.

Several fire departments responded to the fire including the Hillcrest, Spring Valley, Suffern, New City, Nanuet, Orangeburg, and Haverstraw. In addition, Spring Hill Ambulance, New City and Rockland Paramedics Service, also responded, Ramapo police said.

The cause of the fire, is under investigation by the Ramapo Police Department detective unit, as well as the Rockland County BCI unit.
