Born in Greenwich, Conn. on June 23, 1930, she was the daughter of Alfred and Jane Duffy Wilson. Dorothy was a family person who loved taking care of others. She was a good friend to everyone, and will be forever remembered as a special wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
On April 22, 1950 in Port Chester, Dorothy married James V. Minishi who predeceased her on March 22, 2000.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Sharyon Schwartzman.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Minishi and Geraldine Winiarski and her husband John; her son-in-law, Jefferey Schwartzman; her grandchildren, Daniel Schwartzman, Rebecca Knoebber, Alexander Winiarski, and LCPL James Winiarski; her great-grandson, Francis Winiarski; her brother, Edmund Wilson and his wife Barbara; her sister, Margaret Virginia Clark and her husband LTC Elden Clark.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20 from 10 a.m.-noon at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service follows at noon at the funeral home. Entombment is at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
