Public comments will be heard at the beginning of the meeting, and the Board of Education is encouraging parents to stay informed and express their viewpoints at the meeting or via email at TCDistribution@newcanaanct.gov.
The Saxe Building Committee has approved and recommended a 12-classroom expansion to Saxe Middle School and is now seeking approval from the town funding bodies so design can proceed, the Board of Education said on its website.
The Board of Education has already approved this recommendation.
At a meeting last week, the Board of Finance agreed that the committee should proceed with the state filing requirements, but deferred the vote to authorize funding. Resident may email to the BOF at BoFDistribution@newcanaanct.gov.
The Board of Education expects a vote on whether to authorize funding will take place during the July meetings for both the Board of Finance and the Town Council.
