Darien’s Piper Van Wagenen finished third on the platform event in the 11-and-under division. She also competed on the 1-meter (16th) and 3-meter (17th) boards.
New Canaan’s Claire Ross and Darien’s Anne Farley, Owen Stevens and Wiley Schmidt competed in the 12-13 age group. Farley competed in all three events, with her best finish coming with a ninth place on platform. She was 23rd on the 1-meter and 21st on the 3-meter. Ross came in 26th on the 1- and 3-meter boards. Stevens was sixth on the 1-meter, seventh on the 3-meter, and fifth on platform. Schmidt took seventh on 1-meter and eighth on 3-meter.
In the 14-15 age group, Stamford’s Rachel Burston was fourth on the 1-meter and ninth on the 3-meter. Genevieve Angerame was ninth on the 1-meter and eighth on the 3-meter, while Timothy Luz finished ninth on platform, 13th on 1-meter and 24th on 3-meter. Stamford’s Sean Burston and Kirsten Parkinson, New Canaan’s Kylie Towbin and Darien’s Jake Bowtell competed in the 16-18-year-old age group. Burston was sixth on the 3-meter and eighth on the 1-meter. Bowtell was 15th on the 3-meter.
Towbin was fourth on platform, seventh on the 3-meter and 26th on the 1-meter. Parkinson took 16th on the 3-meter and 23rd on the 1-meter. The team travels to Fort Lauderdale for its next competition for the YMCA National Championships.
