An Ocean County contractor will spend time in prison after admitting to stealing nearly $700,000 in funds meant to help victims of Hurricane Sandy, authorities said. An Atlantic County man was accused of running a large drug-packaging operation inside a home with five children, authorities said. Woody Demosthenes, 35, of Egg Harbor Township was arrested on Friday, May 3, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. A passenger was killed in an early morning crash on Wednesday, May 1 in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at 5:48 a.m. on Beverly-Rancocas Road in Willingboro, Burlington County, according to New Jersey State Police fatal crash data.
