Police: Norwalk Man With Facsimile Gun Chased Down In Stamford Town Center STAMFORD, Conn. — A 29-year-old Norwalk man was arrested after police say he was spotted Wednesday with a "facsimile" gun at the Stamford Town Center, then tried to elude police in a rowdy chase through the shopping center, according to the Stamford Advocate. Mohmed Boumazzourn of Camp Street in Norwalk is charged with carrying a facsimile firearm, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and breach of peace. Darien Arts Center Offers Intensive Acting Class For Middle Schoolers DARIEN, Conn. -- A new acting class at Darien Arts Center allows middle school students a chance to jump into characters from some of their favorite stories, such as "Harry Potter," "Chronicles of Narnia" and "Star Wars."The six-week program, called Scenework, involves games and exercises in addition to short skits and improv to sharpen young acting skills. Police: Bridgeport Suspect In Attempted Murder-Suicide Has Died BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 53-year-old Bridgeport man, who authorities believe tried to kill his wife and himself in a murder-suicide shooting early Friday while at home with the couple's daughter, has died, according to the Connecticut Post. Wilson Ripoli died from what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head that occurred after his wife was shot in the head. His wife is still hospitalized but has recovered enough to communicate, the Connecticut Post said. Y. -- Special Olympics New York is looking for brave souls willing to take a leap of faith into Long Island Sound for the 8th annual Westchester Polar Plunge.This year's event, named Freezin' for a Reason, takes place Nov. 12 at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle. Two Men Hurt In Sunday Morning Robberies In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are investigating two separate robberies Sunday morning that occurred on opposite sides of town, the Stamford Advocate reports.Both victims were men who were injured in the incident but refused medical treatment.
