Body Found Floating In CT Pond
Police are investigating after a body was found floating in a Connecticut pond. The discovery was made in New Haven County on Cooke Street at Fulton Park around 8 a.m., Thursday, March 28 in Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the body was removed from the pond and confirmed to be dead. The identity of the person has not yet been released. This incident is under investigation. Woman Charged With Manslaughter In Overdose Death Of Greenwich Resident
A woman has been charged with manslaughter in the alleged overdose death of a Fairfield County resident. The death took place in Greenwich on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, according to Capt. John Slusarz of the Greenwich Police. When officers arrived at the home in the western section of town, they found the 40-year-old unidentified Greenwich man dead, Slusarz said. A man has died after being struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross a busy Connecticut highway. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 27 in the area of 1966 North Broad St. in Meriden. State Police Investigating Carjacking At I-95 Rest Stop
Connecticut State Police are investigating an alleged carjacking at an I-95 rest stop. The incident took in New Haven County around 5:40 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 at the northbound rest stop, state police said. A worker who was critically injured and stuck 40 feet up a tree was rescued by members of a Fairfield County fire department. The incident occurred in Shelton around 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 on Meghan Court. According to the fire department, Shelton firefighters arrived on the scene and found the worker stuck 40 feet up a tree. The latest incident occurred in North Haven on Sunday, March 24 at the Mobil Gas Station on State Street. Police and state environmental police are searching for an aggressive fox that attacked a man and a dog in Connecticut. The incidents occurred in Windham County on Monday, March 25 at several locations in the town of Putnam. A man has been arrested after authorities said he was caught planning to traffic a teen girl for money in Connecticut. The New Haven County incident was investigated by the FBI and Meriden Police Department, leading to the arrest of 35-year-old Gary Taylor on Thursday, March 21.
