New Round Of Weekday Roadwork Scheduled On I-684
There will be weekday lane closures for several days on I-684 as contracting crews continue maintenance work. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an advisory cautioning that from 9:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m., there will be closures on the northbound lanes of the interstate between exit 2 (Route 120) and exit 3 (Route 22) in Harrison and North Castle. The work is planned from Tuesday, Sept. 4, through Friday, Sept. 7. Officials said that motorists can expect delays, and flaggers will be in the area to assist with the flow of traffic.

Crash Causes Lengthy Delays On I-95
This story has been updated. The Labor Day weekend started off with a crawl -- on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County, at least. A serious crash initially took out the right lane on the southbound side in Darien between Noroton Avenue (Exit 10) and Route 1/Post Road (Exit 9). There was stopped traffic at the scene and stop-and-go delays of about a half-hour to Exit 13 after the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. There were residual delays after the lane reopened about an hour later.

Crash Causes Lengthy Delays On Hutch
This story has been updated. There was gridlock on a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway late Saturday morning following a serious crash. The crash, on the northbound side, occurred at North Street/Route 127 (Exit 25) in Harrison. Delays stretched back to Pinebrook Boulevard in New Rochelle before the crash was cleared by 11 a.m.

Weekend Roadway Shutdown Starts During Maintenance Work In Fairfield County
A busy roadway in Fairfield County will be shut down for the weekend as crews do maintenance work in the area. The Monroe Police Department issued an alert cautioning that Route 25 will be closed from Brook Street to Knollwood Street, as they install a new box culvert at the Aquarion Reservoir. Police noted that the work zone will extend through the shopping plaza south of Knollwood Street with alternating traffic on Route 25. A stretch of I-95 has reopened after one crash and a lane is no longer blocked on another area of the highway following separate crashes during the Tuesday morning commute in Fairfield County. There will be overnight ramp closures on I-684 and I-84 in Putnam County for several days, beginning this week. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning on Monday, Aug. 13, there will be ramp closures on the interstates in Southeast, as contracting crews continue a pavement and resurfacing project in the area.
