? The week started out on a somber note when Rocky, a K9 member of the New Canaan Police Department, choked to death during training.

? A gas leak near the Stamford train station delayed trains on Metro-North Monday afternoon.

? Tuesday night the New Canaan Town Council set the spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year at $132.04 million, only cutting license plate readers for the police department, from the proposed spending plan by the Board of Finance.

? Greenwich Police charged a student with breach of peace Thursday after he allegedly made comments about bringing a gun into Greenwich High School and shooting people. The threat led to the school being put on lockdown.

? Fire fighters had to knock out a blaze at 747 Old Stamford Road Friday morning. Three New Canaan police officers had to go to the hospital after they attempted to rescue a person from the home, as it would turn out the person was not in the residence during the fire.
